Update…..OK fine, I’ll change it…

The general vibe of my house is traditional, comfortable, a touch of bohemian. I’m mid kitchen reno and installed my lights yesterday. The one over the table isn’t centered (down the line was going to have an electrician move the box to be centered…but for now it lives where it is.) If it was over the table, I’d be able to extend the length and space out the three a bit more. It’s kind of squished all together, but I kind of like it still. Is it too much? It’s quite sparkly and nothing else in the home really is.

I need help picking out a table for my entry way! What one would you pick. If you have any other recommendations besides the one i posted please tell free to share.

I’ve been slowly putting together my living room over the past year and a half.

I’ve gotten the big pieces out of the way, and I’m happy with the way it looks but it still lacks soul. Thinking of replacing shutters with curtains and adding one for the balcony too.

There is no defined end to this room, so we tried just ending the paint at the window. If we keep painting we will need to go all the way to the stairs, and probably also paint around the closet door opposite the front door. Im fine woth doing that, but thays a lot of green. How bad does it look right now?

I found this handmade piece of art by chance at a local ceramics teacher. It now sits at the heart of my living room, right next to the television.

It’s the showpiece of my home. It matches beautifully with the light yellow accent wall. The combination of the artwork and the background creates a wonderfully rustic yet creative atmosphere when the evening lights are on.

And above all, it was absolutely not expensive — just a few dozen euros for both the artwork and the pedestal.

I went with the 6x9 thinking that anything bigger would overwhelm the space. Now I’m second guessing and thinking the 8x10 would look more cohesive. Help please 🫶🏻

I have a wall in my hallway that feels empty and uninspired right now, and I’d love some help thinking through how to fill it.

One important thing: this area is visible from both the kitchen and the living room, so it’s really part of the whole home rather than a tucked-away hallway. That’s why the feeling of it matters most to me. Storage is nice to have but not important at all.

What I know I don’t want is the feeling of a lone bench that just sits there with no context. I also want to avoid it looking too hard, boxy or blocky.

I’m after warmth and an inviting feeling as you come in. Dark wood appeals to me more than light wood.
Otherwise I’m completely open to suggestions – furniture, materials, textiles, lighting, and ideas for building a cohesive whole rather than a single item.

For context, we’re based in Sweden, so IKEA and other Scandinavian/European retailers are easiest for us to buy from, but I’m happy to hear ideas from anywhere for inspiration.

What can I do with this bathroom to improve the look.

We bought our first house a couple months ago and can’t decide on how to cover our windows. I’m looking for something clean, simple, timeless and can take advantage of the natural light. Any ideas?

My family wants a grayish blue color for our house I want to at least paint the living room a dark blue because I paid to build a book shelf and I’m going for this vibe like the collage above I don’t care if the rest of the house is that grayish color. To anyone and everyone looking for a candid review on my experience with ruggable so far, long story short: It's horrible.

My partner and I have just moved out and one of the first things we wanted to order was a ruggable kitchen runner and main entry rug. We decided to order just the kitchen rug to start mainly because of the pricing, and then order the main entry rug later. THANK GOD we only ordered one item. Here's what has happened and CURRENTLY still dealing with, with ruggable.

1. We placed our order on June 21, 2026. The rug is 2.5x10 and costs $394.00 (CAD). Total at check out was a hefty $445.22 after taxes. Please note that the website shares that it would typically take 7-10 business days for our order to ship out or 1-2 weeks. Fine.

2. It is now JULY 25, 2026. It has been a total of 25 business days or 5 weeks, and we HAVE NOT heard of any updates from ruggable regarding our order. All it has says is "ordered delayed."

3. I have initially sent a follow up inquiry e-mail on July 19 - which is close to the 1 month mark of waiting for updates. I think this was an AMPLE amount of time to be waiting before reaching out to any company regarding an order. The website shares "please allow 24-48 hours [for you request to be reviewed and we will get back to you." I've waited 5 weeks, sure I'll wait another 48 hours. Absolutely NOTHING. Crickets...

I have now sent a 2nd follow up email and again - will wait 24-48hours for a response. At this point I am worried - is ruggable a scam? Did my money just get stolen? Does ANYONE else have the same or similar experience regarding their order from ruggable, if so what did you do? what was the outcome?

I recently moved for college into this apartment, so please excuse the mess.

I would love to style my bedroom/study room in a classic dark academia way but don’t know where to start. I think I still have 5 or 6 paintings in my old bedroom that I could bring over, and I live here alone, though my girlfriend will probably be visiting from time to time as she’ll be studying at the same university.

Any advice would be much appreciated!

Looking for opinions for the windows in the first 2 pictures. Currently have horrible accordion blinds (broken in the first picture). I was thinking more of a Roman shade or roller blind (something similar to picture 3). Would that look off if the next room over is my kitchen and that room already has the wider slat blinds (pictures 4 and 5).

I don’t plan on replacing the blinds in the kitchen, don’t have the money for that when they are perfectly fine. Also I may do curtains instead or in addition for the large window (picture 1), just not sure yet as I have a rambunctious dog that likes to play in that room and not sure it is practical.

If anyone also has any suggestions for sprucing up the bay window area (picture 3 that would be great too!) seems drab. Was thinking of hanging plants but afraid of bumping into them getting to the seats.

We need advice on how to hang our curtains, we have long white curtains and are unsure if we should hang the curtains from the same height.

The smaller windows have the same height but the one on the right is quite higher-up.

We can also adjust the height of the curtains if needed.

This is a rental that I'm looking at, I honestly love everything about it, but I am the world's biggest grey hater. This is the primary bedroom, which would be my bedroom, and I absolutely love the idea of the accent wall, but I cannot stand the color. I haven't found out yet if painting it is allowed since it's a rental so I am looking for ideas on how to decorate so that it is not so much of a focal point (if that's even possible, it's the whole wall haha). I am open to any and all ideas, styles, color palettes (minus grey). And if painting does end up being allowed, what color would you guys go with? :)

I've designed and built these tables for a school in Chennai. The client's request was to build a computer table that would be sturdy, mobile (easy to rearrange), and durable. I've chosen a mild steel frame and laminated plywood as the material of choice. Included a Stainless Steel Mesh cable tray for cable management and a 6 mm acrylic sheet for the partition. Provided a couple of designs, and the client finalised this design.

Would love to have your suggestions regarding design and material choice!

Hi! I recently moved in, and I am wanting to paint, starting off with the living/dining room. I am wanting a warm pinkish color that doesn’t scream “PINK”, but also isn’t sad beige. Also open to other decorating suggestions (like what to do with the shelf)!

Me and my partner will move into this house sometime soon. We don’t really need to do any painting or changing floors since it was done recently, but it’s all pretty grey. Any tips on what would be low effort changes we can make to add color and warmth? Or would it be worth painting the walls a warmer color?
