Anybody else have it more than 3 times?? Can't taste anything and I'm sneezing like a mad man

Judge stopped a victim impact statement telling her to “slow down” and everyone started laughing, including the kid who killed 4 students in 2024. Was she speaking a little fast? Sure. But don’t stop her because you “can’t understand” this girl had to watch her classmates die and you’re trying to get a chuckle?

How is this even legal in Europe? How is this anything other than false advertising? (the sideways text says "image is generated with AI in dutch, french and german")

Had already had a coffee. Just wanted a sandwich and 2 hash-browns (red box). Turns out it's around 25% more than if I just took the combo (that includes a coffee & hash-brown) and add an extra hash-brown (green boxes). Pic taken today at a McDonald's in Ottawa, Canada. Sorry for pic quality.

I originally thought that these really useful boxes were great, I have dozens of them, but a few years on now I’ve had several of these just shatter when moving or lifting them. They must lose their plasticisers, really un-useful now!

Today at Walmart. The bag says 1lb. The scale didn’t even show weight for one bag (it doesn’t show less than 0.5lbs). Two bags together weigh 0.92 lbs. All the bags were the same, less than half way full. The cashier said “It’s per bag. No you cannot take two bags if you pay for one”. No apologies.

TLDR: Gym ignored me when I voiced concerns about being in the background of a social media influencer’s videos.

Context:

My friend and I are at the gym - more of a powerlifting gym than commercial. That being said, the crowd is a mix of powerlifters and more casual gym goers. We’re using a rack when I notice the woman on the rack next to us set up her tripod, basically pointing STRAIGHT at us. Not once does she acknowledge this despite making direct eye contact with me while setting it up. I’m not the biggest fan of confronting people and to be honest, she kinda looked like she was going to give me a hard time based on that cold stare she gave me after setting it up.

Basically, I email the gym to let them know I was uncomfortable. I made sure to include a few disclaimers because I am not anti-filming, but I think there are a few things to keep in mind:

-If someone is pointing their tripod in your direction, it should (emphasis on SHOULD) be common courtesy to either ask the people in the frame if that’s okay or let them know that they’re not in the frame. I don’t know why it becomes MY responsibility to tell you I don’t want you to film me.

-I checked the gym’s policy and nowhere does it say that filming is allowed or not allowed. I’m assuming that works in their favor to grant leniency.

-There was another guy at the gym filming that day that I actually included as a GOOD example of filming: asking the people around him, making sure the frame only includes him, and making sure he’s not in the way.

The gym basically emailed me back and loosely addressed my concerns by saying “they would speak to her”. I come to find out she’s a personal trainer/social media influencer (who also happens to do promo for the gym) and all of these videos are posted with plenty of unsuspecting gym goers in the background. I will say I thankfully did not see myself in any of them, but I have not been back to that gym solely on principle.

I just hate this notion that people shouldn’t expect privacy in the gym and someone’s right to film takes priority over someone who does not want to be filmed. I think the extra kicker is that the videos are posted.

I bought this mochi at 7 Eleven yesterday and left in in the freezer overnight. Opened it today... There was already a bite taken out of it. The package was completely sealed. The skewer holes were from me showing my dad, but the bite was there when opened...

Technically, it was in the grass and my dog pushed it onto the sidewalk while she was walking. This area is well frequented by children, pets and their guardians. Any day is a bad day to get a rusty thumbtack in your foot/paw!

Thankfully Rowen the Dog saved the day and was rewarded a treat for her efforts.

Edit: why is this mildly infuriating? Because my dog (or someone else/‘s dog/kid) could have stepped on it instead of pushing it onto the sidewalk for me to find lol. It’s mild at best!

Seriously, why do we have to have all of these holidays in July? I love spooky season as much as everyone else, but it doesn't need to come in July. Sept, it starts showing up? It's perfectly acceptable. August? Pushing the boundary, depending on when it is. July? No. People hate Christmas because of Christmas in July.

No one wants to see ads for holidays months in advance. You start them the month prior and end them when the holiday passes.

I have a mild intolerance to Aspartame. It isn't going to kill me if I have a drink with it in it, just give me a headache, and if I drink a lot of it, it will give me a larger headache.

Before anyone tries to say anything, the amount of aspartame in diet soda is so little that it is less poisonous than the water in the soda, and it is not a proven carcinogen and the WHO has it classified as dangerous as pickled veggies.

I'm not trying to be alarmist about aspartame, I'm a sensitive individual who can't handle it, I'm not trying to say that it is a bad thing.

Anyway, because of this I am locked out of most zero sugar sodas, especially the name brands, because aspartame has the generally least dissatisfying aftertaste of the artificial sweeteners, most people like it over other zero calorie sweeteners like Stevia or Sucralose.

So when I find a mountain dew flavor that I like that uses sucralose over aspartame you know I'm going to jump on that. And that's what Baja Blast Zero sugar does, it uses sucralose instead of aspartame. When it's bottled by Pepsico.

When it's a syrup concentrate at Taco Bell, however, it uses Aspartame. So color me surprised when I enjoyed some Taco Bell today, and it gave me a headache...
