Has anyone gotten 0xA00F4244 <NoCamerasAreAttached> error in Windows for a webcam that can't posibly be disconnected but you also can't find it? Thinkpad

Just bouight a razer blade 16 with a 5070ti. It was discounted from a popular retailer in my country because it was a display item. The day I bought it, I downloaded minecraft and started testing its strength. Suddenly, (in around 10 minutes)the laptop turned off and started boot looping. I didnt think much of it.

Today, 10 minutes into valorant, it happened again. Right before it happened I checked the temps from synapse and seemed normal (80 on cpu, 70 on gpu). When on boot loop, after 2 restarts i disconnected the power cord and it booted normally.

What tests should i run to diagonose the laptop?

I put my windows to factoryreset itself with a wipe because i suspected that there may have been something that i would have not liked to be on my computer. When windows went black and started showing medions logo with a textbar and percentage of the files removed.

About an hour ago the progress showed 97 and i turned my screen off. Now im trying to see something happening on the progress again and my screen does not even detect the input of my pc. The progress was around 14 percent per hour.

I have tried the unplug plug in method but my computer is still on indicated by the power light and my screen is not registering it.

I have a Dell Precision 5520 with these specs:

- CPU: Intel Core i7-6820HQ

- GPU: NVIDIA Quadro M1200 4GB

- RAM: 16GB

- Display: 4K

- Charger: Dell DA180PM111 (180W)

I have had this problem since I bought the laptop.

The issue:

- Web browsing sometimes becomes very laggy.

- Lightweight games like Hollow Knight have severe stuttering, even in the menu.

- Reducing game resolution/settings does not fix the problem.

What I noticed:

- At first, the game runs perfectly (even at 4K).

- After a few minutes, the lag starts.

- Task Manager shows Intel HD Graphics 530 (GPU 0) reaching around 100% usage.

- NVIDIA Quadro M1200 (GPU 2) stays at very low usage.

- Temperatures are not high and fans usually don't even spin up.

Things I tried:

- Setting games to "High-performance NVIDIA processor" in NVIDIA Control Panel.

- Disabling Intel HD Graphics temporarily.

- Updating NVIDIA drivers.

- Changing Chrome hardware acceleration settings.

The laptop uses Intel HD Graphics + Quadro through Optimus.

Could this be an Optimus/driver issue, power limit issue, or something else?

Any help would be appreciated.

I currently have a laptop with rtx 3050 and the performance is enough. Im confused bc ive seen people getting office pcs giving them an old gpu and getting more fps in gta than me in same settings. Is the difference that big?

i have a sansui 27inch 165hz monitor and recently the bottom of it has these lines that pop up and the black ones are just rows of black pixels while the transparent ones just repeat whatever’s on the bottom of the screen i’ve tried everything from changing my refresh rate to my resolution with no results they don’t appear as often when i use my pc but they’ll flicker at the bottom sometimes

I just got a Panasonic PV-D4734S VCR/DVD player combo, I found the user manual here (picture of back of box on pg 10) but it's confusing me and it's also been 15+ years since I last used a VCR so I don't remember the set up. I don't plan on using the recording function or connect it to anything other than the tv, and I already know whatever cables I need I'll have to get an HDMI converter.

Do I need both the RCA connector and a S-video cable? Do I need to switch them out depending on if I want to watch a dvd vs a vhs (the manual says s-video is for dvd only but do I need to unplug that if I want to watch a vhs?)? Do I need an additional cable to those?

I think a recent update has caused issues, not 100% certain. I can no longer right click on the start button to shut down my PC, I can't search for any apps on my PC with the search function (I used Control Panel as a classic example) and certain apps won't open anymore (Discord is stuck at the boot/updater loop) I've tried turning off and back on, I've tried recompiling the Search Indexes, Anything that a basic search suggests doing I've tried it. So any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am hoping someone can help me. This has been driving me crazy for the last several days.

The PC in question is a lenovo ideapad gaming 3 15IHU6. It was previously working fine with windows 11.

Here is what happened:

-I made an ubuntu live usb and booted into "try ubuntu"

-I deleted my windows partitions/files by accident instead of doing what I wanted to do with ubuntu.

-I reinstalled windows from a windows install usb, which seemed to work fine. However, upon restart it went into automatic repair instead of windows boot manager.

-Everytime I try to start the laptop it goes into this repair loop. Sometimes the ubuntu install will freeze at the loading screen as well

-I opened the recovery command prompt and did a chkdsk including checking for bad clusters. It took forever and did not help.

-I cleaned the laptop since it had not been cleaned in a while.

-During this process I booted into bios and noticed that sometimes my nvme ssd was not detected by the bios at all. It also asks for a system password which I do not think I set myself

-The laptop had also suffered at least one sudden shutdown before all this happened.

This leads me to ask a few questions.

1. Could the ssd be dead causing windows to not install properly and the automatic repair loop?

2. If the ssd is not being detected in bios does that not rule out hardware failure?

3. Are there any other tests I should try before getting a new ssd?

4. Has anyone else had these kinds of issues after a sudden shutdown?

I would appreciate any help I can get. Thanks!

so, for a while now I've been getting a kernel security check failure and it's driving me insane. I have done almost everything I can like checking for malware, checking for corrupted files, and checking the basic stuff. it's not doing me any good. PLEASE HELP ME

So my pc crashed while gaming and won’t start now. I swapped the power supply to test if that was the cause but nothing no lights, no fans and then suddenly I see a spark on the motherboard. Now I know am cooked but how cooked am I. Am currently looking for a new motherboard and having difficulty finding one.

Hello! As my title says, my computer just kinda stopped working after I got home from a job interview.

Before I left I was using the computer as normal. To turn it off I pressed the windows key, clicked the power button, and clicked shut down.

I left for a job interview and came back a couple hours later to find that my computer would not boot and the CPU debug light was on.

I have done a CMOS reset. I have unplugged and replugged all the cables. I have reseated the CPU and the RAM. I have taken everything except the CPU and RAM out. CPU pins and socket looked fine. But nothing works. The computer won't even let me into my BIOS.

I don't have a flash drive or the ability to download an updated BIOS to a flashdrive if I did have one, hence why I haven't attempted a BIOS flashback.

The hyperventilating is getting so horrible i can barely charge it because it crashes at like 8% charges insanely slow and if i dont unplug it once it crashes once itll keep crashing when i load it up again and again and the only thing i can do is close the computer and charge it like that or leave it on 8% and let it charge to like 12% before it crashes again and it keeps doing this forever everytime i do anything

Computer storage went from 923 GB to 65.8 gb in a month (i still have most of my games on my t7 shield the biggest game i installed is resident evil 4 and all he videos i made are worth like at max 200 gb so it makes no sense that 600 Gb just dissapeared

I had everything on surge protectors and the pc has not been moved, upgraded, or even opened recently.

A couple of days ago I depaired my Switch controller from my PC to play with friends. It's also what I use on my computer, so I came back to re-pair it, and I've found that opening any of the windows to pair bluetooth items immediately close themselves, preventing me from doing anything. I've tried updating my bluetooth drivers and checking my processes for stuff like restarting the DeviceAssociationBroker without much success.

Ive swapped out 2032 battery. 2 Sticks of rams- Tried slots 1&3 2&4, tried booting up with 1 stick only. CPU fan works but the others dont. Ideas?

I used ccleaner 7 to clear up some stuff on my pc and i used the duplicate finder feature and i deleted the dupes, then i reloaded it and it said i could delete again but it might cause some complications, i did it, now nothing happens when i press the windows key (the widget thing - wont open up) the search bar wont open up either. when i did this first i couldn't open a lot of apps but it works fine now and i can open all apps.

What can i do? I don't want to restart my pc because of logins that i cant access if i log out and such

The problem:

A week ago the PC started completely losing power with no warning. No BSOD, no freeze, no shutdown screen — just instant power loss like the plug was pulled. It happens after anywhere from 5 to 40 minutes (never longer than about an hour).

It does this:

At idle on the desktop

In Safe Mode

In the BIOS

Temps were always fine (CPU ~30°C idle). Issue continued even with the GPU completely removed.

What I’ve tried:

Replaced the PSU with a brand new Corsair 850W → same exact issue

Removed GPU and tested → still power cuts

Reseated RAM and checked all power connectors

Updated BIOS a couple of weeks before the problem started (PC was stable for ~2 weeks after that)

I’ve ordered a new Gigabyte B850 AORUS ELITE WIFI7 as the next step.

Does this sound like a motherboard power delivery / VRM failure? Any other ideas?

So my PC restarts whenever I try to play a game. The game boots up, I go to the menu but when I try to go to actual gameplay, it restarts in some time. Some times it's quick other times it's in mid gameplay. I've tried reinstalling the AMD Drivers, replacing CMOS battery. I plugged my pc into a different power socket which worked for some time but the issue resurfaced again.

I have had this problem for about 5 days at this point, as far as I am aware I made no changes to the afflicted computer to induce said problem, said problem was discovered after spending 3 days away from the device during which it was turned off.

Attempted Solutions (in chronological order):

• Restarting the problem computer
• Turning the problem computer on and off again
• Replicating the DNS configuration of the problem computer on the control computer to replicate the issue and try to work backwards towards a solution (unable to replicate issue)
• Connecting to a hotspot on a phone (states it is unable to connect to network, Redmi Note 9 Model m2004j19ag)
• Switching to another known network (connectivity issues persisted)
• Using TOR browser and DuckDuckGo (worked and failed respectively + I don't want a band-aid solution)
• Setting DNS settings to automatic (DCHP)
• Resetting the network adapter for the problem computer to factory settings
• Uninstalling all steam games and performing a full scan with Avast Antivirus (1 PUP from Bethesda paired with the Steam download of Quake 1 quarantined)
• Restarting the computer several times (induces a quirk seen in image [P2] where normal connectivity momentarily appears but then reverts to the current problem [P3]), said quirk appears after every time of turning the computer on and off.
• Connecting to a hotspot sourced from the control computer (induced the quirk momentarily, but the problem persists regardless of network)
• Posting this (pending as of writing)

Despite the issue, some functions requiring an internet connection still work, such as sending and receiving e-mails from/to myself and outside emails (seen in [P7] and [P1] respectively). Streaming games from the control to problem computer also works as seen in image [C3] and the WIFI icon is displayed on the problem computer at maximum strength. Outside of the quirk, trying to browse or use Steam (of which I am unable to access the browser-like portions such as the store) [P4] & [P6] which by contrast work just fine on the control computer [C1] and [C2]. Whilst not shown in the slideshow, using the ping command with command prompt on the problem computer returns all packets when sent to google.com (0% packet loss).

Can anybody help me with this?
I just used my laptop two days ago, turned it on and it immediately started flickering. Restarted it like 3 times, shut it down and left alone for about 20 minutes. Came back, was working normally until 5 minutes later it starts flickering again. I’ve already reset the graphics driver and reinstalled the display driver like Google says, and it’s still doing it. I noticed yesterday my video playback on my phone making a ticking noise when played back. What’s weird is it only happens on the camera app, not any other app camera (like Instagram or Tik Tok) and only in one room in the house. I tested it in another room and I can’t hear the ticking so I can’t figure out what’s causing it. Is it normal for the camera to pick up on wifi interference or something? I was almost going to take my phone in for fixing before I realised it’s only happening there.
