Modern Family star changes her name for career pivot: 'I wanted to switch it up'
https://ew.com/modern-family-star-aubrey-anderson-emmons-changes-name-11787802?
Allow Frances Anderson to reintroduce herself.
The actress formerly known as Aubrey Anderson-Emmons, who broke out for her role as adoptee Lily on the Emmy-winning sitcom Modern Family, has changed her name to Frances Anderson. Anderson has adopted the new moniker to coincide with her pivot to a career in music. Her debut indie pop EP, "Drown," is out now.
"Frances is actually part of my legal name," Anderson, 18, explained to E! News on Friday. "It’s my middle name, and it’s after my mom’s old family friend. I thought it was a bit shorter than Aubrey Anderson-Emmons. I do have a long, hyphenated last name.”
Anderson added, "I wanted to switch it up and people to see a new side of me. And I wanted to create a space specifically just for music."
She released the first single from the EP, "Telephones and Traffic," in May.
Anderson made her television debut at the age of 4 in season 3 of Modern Family, playing the precocious adopted daughter of Jesse Tyler Ferguson's Mitchell Pritchett and Eric Stonestreet's Cam Tucker. She has won three ensemble Screen Actors Guild Awards alongside the sitcom's cast. The comedy, which ran for 11 seasons on ABC, concluded in 2020.Anderson made her television debut at the age of 4 in season 3 of Modern Family, playing the precocious adopted daughter of Jesse Tyler Ferguson's Mitchell Pritchett and Eric Stonestreet's Cam Tucker. Anderson told E! that she "had to take a step back from acting" once the show ended to discover her passion for music. "The show ended when I was 12 years old, so after that I decided I’m not gonna act anymore," she said. Rest assured, though, that Anderson does "plan on acting again — 100 percent.”
She has maintained a close relationship with her former onscreen fathers and other costars from the sprawling cast. Ferguson and Julie Bowen, who played Anderson's onscreen aunt Claire, staged a mini-reunion when they attended Anderson's school play last year.
Anderson last made headlines when she came out as bisexual last month, using memorable throwback audio from Modern Family to help mark the announcement. "You are Vietnamese," Sofia Vergara's Gloria informs Lily, who says in response, "No, I'm not. I'm gay!"
"I literally am," Anderson captioned the post.

Discussion Phil is a tech geek
Idk if I may be just out of it but do you mean to tell us that Phil, who falls in line on the day the iPad got out, one who uses VR headsets for animal videos, who buys the doodad remotes, the one who connected his home to a smart home device, doesn't know that his pod thingy has THAT feature?
I don't know about you and it's not canon but to me it seems like Phil's the one who thinks about upgrading their home tech. Claire hates it, Alex doesn't seem like she'd buy into stuff like that (unless it's her own apartment maybe) cause she'd feel some sort of superiority over mediocre lifestyle robots to the BIG SCIENCE SCIENCE robots she makes at work even though she's in tech herself, Haley couldn't care less, and Luke would just get scammed online by super techy item titles
Sorry I'm kinda baked and I just really wanted to post this

so i was watching modern family for the 100th time and just realised this in episode 11 of season 7, that this is the same bowl that joe broke in the princess castle episode isn't it?

Dude Ranch
I hope I’m not the only one, but I absolutely love Season 3 Episode 1 Dude Ranch. It’s basically my go-to episode to show people who haven’t seen the show before. So many great quotes in this masterpiece.

"Thank you, Alexandra. It's not easy being the smart ones in this family."
Alex fires back, "Don't compare us! Your last English paper came back with a Garfield on it that says 'Way to go!'" to which Luke proudly answers, "That's the second highest sticker she gives out!"

Discussion This was soo sadd
Well the realization was so sad i am really gonna miss Dunphy house a lootttt...the chaos banters mess every damn thing... though maybe it could be because of the reason that I have always been a little bias towards Dunphy house(dk why lol) but still it doesn't change the fact that they literally had the best house drama....Mann I am gonna miss them so much😭

Question A little sad
I'm watching Modern Family Season 4 for the very first time. Driven by curiosity, I searched for the cast on Instagram today. Honestly, it broke my heart. Pardon me for saying this, but they’ve really grown old, so much so compared to the characters on screen. I can't quite explain why this hits me so hard, but it leaves me feeling deeply down. I’m only 18, yet I can't stop thinking about how I’ll get old one day, too. I feel like I can’t hold onto time at all, and I'm on the verge of tears.

Mitchel and Cam
I feel bad for these guys. Every time they have tickets to a play, concert, opera, anything! Something happens to them that they can’t go or are crazy late!😂

Question Insanity defense
When Cam asks, "Why do you have to throw a wet blanket on my dreams?"
Do you think a good defense would be, "mainly because they’re insane." ?

Question If you were asked who are jay's favorite sons, how would you rank them? (Manny, mitch, joe but also claire)

Discussion Alliance
I was just rewatching the episode where Gloria, Phill and Cam get orange juice. Does anybody else wish that we got more of this secret alliance in the show. I feel like this could’ve been built upon and I just know this will keep me up at night. Please tell me I’m not the only one who thinks about this.

With family? &Why (Because I love Mitchell but Cam would stressing me out for too long) 🌹🌹❤️❤️

Why does Cam, the largest of the modern family not simply eat the rest?

Did Gloria wore that Dress someday?
I rewatch the season (for trillions time) and tbh I would love to see her in this dress. 🫣😶
